Since 1992, ESCO Electric has performed specialty electrical projects & services for a variety of client partners. Today, we move towards the future as ESCO Contractors, providing a host of integrated services and lifecycle solutions for our clients. Our service offerings revolve around two central components: management & consulting services and contracting services.
The contracting services include providing managed and integrated EPC services for Natural Gas, Electrical, other municipal utilities, and industry. Our Transmission & Distribution services, which includes transmission line, distribution, line and substation specialties for electrical and transmission pipeline and distribution pipeline for natural gas, are an important core of our service delivery model. ESCO also performs specialized maintenance, inspection services, and implementation-based Managed Services, which include PSMO (Project, Construction, TRC, Safety, and Site management).

Karl Newman
Chief Executive Officer
Karl came to ESCO Contractors after retiring with 32 years of service from the Ohio Department of Transportation. During his time with ODOT he held many positions including District Deputy Director and Facilities Program Administrator.
Karl has found that the transportation and utilities worlds are very similar. The utility world has projects that move gas and electric and the transportation world has projects that move people and vehicles. Both worlds require planning, design, construction and maintenance. One of Karl’ s goals are to use his leadership skills to build a team of world class professionals that will exceed the expectations of all ESCO’s customers’ needs.
David Jaynes
President
With over forty (40) years of experience in all facets of the utility and contracting business, David has lead numerous initiatives to resolve client issues and help various stakeholders realize their capital objectives. David’s construction-centric experience, expertise, and thinking helps define a continual drive to success with the end result always in mind.
David’s ability to bring numerous results-oriented individuals, groups, and organizations to bear on any project or work effort makes him an ultimate integrator and team builder. This is evidenced by his work with Karl to create and launch ESCO Contractors as a premier integrating solutions provider.
Jeffery Keller
Vice President, Special Projects
With a emphasis on managed services, Jeff heads up our organizational optimization and management services, project management, and business development efforts. Jeff has three adult children and currently resides in Columbus, Ohio with his wife and their two dogs, George & Ollie.
Jeff is both a Professional Engineering (PE) and Project Management Professional (PMP) with over thirty (30) years of experience in the industrial & utility markets. Combining those attributes with a Certified Behavioral Consultant (CBC) Certification, Jeff is a rare engineer that looks at your shoes when he speaks to you.
Brian Carlin
Sr. Vice President
Brian has over thirty (30) years experience in some of the largest utilities and telecommunications industries in the United States. Dedicated focus on customer satisfaction, company growth, shareholder success, new partnerships, staff recruiting and workforce leadership development, responsible budgeting, cost savings and reductions, contract negotiation, safety, productivity, and efficiency.
Brian currently resides in Bryan, Ohio with his wife and enjoys being a grandfather along with volunteering in various community organizations and being a OHSAA Wrestling referee and official.
Evan Jaynes
Controller
Evan is the youngest of the executive staff having recently graduated from Ohio University with a degree in Finance. Evan handles various back office activities including invoicing, human resources, and other duties.
Evan currently resides in Pickerington, Ohio having recently been married and has a dog, Blue, the official office greeter and treat seeker.
